01) Cubbon Park
Invented in 1870 by British engineer Richard Sankey. Officially known as Sri Chamarajendra Park, this park spread over an area of 300 acres is a famous landmark of Bangalore. In 1870, Sir John Meade, the acting commissioner of Mysuru, gave this public park its original name, Meade’s Park. Later, Sir Mark Cubbon, the longest-serving commissioner at the time, gave it its current name, Cubbon Park.
With ninety species of flora and fauna and diverse aesthetic value, this park is an important forest area like the lungs of Bangalore. The Park’s Ringwood circle, lotus pond, and bamboo grove nook are among its other highlights. Filled with sky-high trees and flowering shrubs, the park also features statues and beautiful buildings. 02) Nandi Hills
The term Nandi Hills has a rich history, according to several legends. Nandi Hills was known as Anandagiri, or The Hill of Happiness, during the Chola era. Because the hills resemble a sleeping bull, it is also possible that they are known as Nandi Hills. Another explanation is that the hill’s name derives from a Dravidian-style temple that dates back 1,300 years and from a Nandi (bull) statue that is located there.
You have to travel about 60 km from the city to access this hilly terrain. South Indian state of Karnataka is home to the hill fort known as Nandi Hills, often referred to as Nandidurg.

03) Tipu Sultan’s Palace
The fort of Tipu Sultan situated at this place is very ancient. It was built in the 18th century. It is a wonderful fort decorated with stone carvings and wall paintings. This royal summer fort has now been converted into a museum.
The palace walls are decorated with lovely flower designs. The location also houses a depiction of the majestic throne that Tipu Sultan himself imagined. This magnificent seat was adorned with priceless emerald stones and gold sheets. Because the throne was too expensive for one person to purchase in its whole, the British dismantled it when Tipu Sultan passed away and sold its components at auction. The eastern and western balconies of the top level are thought to have been utilized by Tipu Sultan to conduct his durbar (court). Four smaller rooms that were once part of Zenana Quarters are located in the corners of the first level.

04) Lal Bagh Botanical Garden
Created in 1537 by Kempegowda, this Lalbagh Botanical Garden is spread over an area of 34 acres. The history of this park dates back to more than 500 years.
Considered to be one of the most creative and admired botanical gardens in India, this garden has an unusual glass house. It hosts two beautiful flower shows every year on August 15 (Independence Day) and January 26 (Republic Day).
In 2002, a bonsai garden was added. In addition to these, Lalbagh contains a Topiary Garden, Rose Garden, and Lotus Garden. At the lake’s far eastern side, a man-made waterfall was inaugurated in 2017. Additionally, Lalbagh features a “Garden Center” where locals can purchase decorative plants. Nursery Men’s Cooperative Society oversees this.
Another attraction of the Lalbagh Botanical Garden is its stunning lake. The park also has India’s largest collection of tropical plants. It also draws a variety of bird species, including crows, parrots, pond herons, Brahminy kites, purple moor hens, and common rats.

05) Bangalore Palace

Bangalore Palace is a royal residence found in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It was built by Rev. J. Garrett, who served as the city’s first principal of Central High School, now known as Central High School. He is responsible for starting the construction of the palace. The founding owner of Bangalore Palace was Reverend Maharaja Chamarajendra Wadiyar. He bought the entire fort from Garrett in 1873. The palace underwent extensive renovations in April 1874 and was completed in 1878.
The interior of this palace is very beautiful. A large ballroom is available for private events. An open terrace on the ground floor has neon blue porcelain tiles covering granite seating. The Durbar Hall, an elegant hall on the first floor, is accessed by an ornately painted staircase. Nineteenth century Dutch and Greek paintings were used to decorate the walls of the fort.
A theme park called Fun World is located on the grounds of a palace. Smt. Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, the owner and legitimate heir of the Late Sri Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, has granted permission for this amusement park. It contains a snow room, water park, and many thrill rides.

06) ISKCON Temple
ISKCON was founded in 1966 by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in New York City.
